Red Abstract - René J

Thick paint is pushed across the whole surface in red, orange and yellow, with deep blue and violet massed in the upper left and white breaking through at the top right. A vertical ridge of orange runs down the centre of the canvas, and dark patches settle along the bottom edge. Every stroke keeps the mark of the knife.

Painted in acrylic with a palette knife, laid on thick and worked wet into wet. René J is a Danish contemporary artist who works mainly with the human figure, exploring identity, strength and vulnerability. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
