Abstract in perfection 2 - Walter Zettl

Thick swirls of paint in cobalt and turquoise blue sweep across the picture, cut by ribbons of crimson, magenta, lemon yellow and lime green. A deep black shape pools near the lower centre, white highlights catch on the ridges of the paint, and the texture of the canvas shows through the thinner passages.

Photographed close up so the ridges and furrows of the thick paint become the image. Walter Zettl has shown his work in New York, Shanghai and Stuttgart and at the Hong Art Museum in Chongqing. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
