Deep Blue - Fran Rodriguez

The open sea fills the whole picture in bands of teal and deep blue, a single wave rolling in from the right with a thin line of white foam along its edge. Standing upright on the water is a small dark rectangle filled with stars, tilted as though cut out of the surface.

Built as a digital collage, with photographed water and a window onto deep space joined without a seam. Fran Rodriguez, who works as lacabezaenlasnubes, is a Spanish digital artist known for images of humanity's place in the universe, and has worked with bands including Weezer, Tame Impala and Tycho. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
