Beginnings - Janet Bell

Vertical blocks of colour stand side by side across the canvas: teal and turquoise through the middle, deep blue at the top right, and crimson, coral and yellow-green pressed in between them. Fine pale lines loop and scribble over the surface, and towards the bottom the colours gather into a darker band of red and black.

Painted in acrylic in overlapping layers, with parts of the top layer scraped back to let hidden colours through. Janet Bell is an abstract artist based in Eastbourne in the UK, who works intuitively and is led by colour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
