Camino al Baile - Naïve Art by YLR

A woman walks beneath a stand of trees at night, seen from behind, her dark hair gathered above a dress scattered with small strokes of orange, green and white. The trees are painted in thick gold and bronze against a deep blue sky of stars, with a large white moon rising behind them, and a ribbon of golden sheet music with blue notes waves across the lower half of the picture.

Painted in acrylic with thick impasto and metallic pigment, so the trees and the moon stand up from the surface. Yahaira Lidia Reyes Jimenez works in the naïve and folk art tradition, drawing on her Dominican heritage and her years in Ireland and the Netherlands. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
