Decay (3) - Lone Gjessing

A car wreck lies low among bare branches and small spruces, its bonnet turned up to the light in deep orange rust. The windscreen frame is bent back over the roof, and the engine bay is open to the sky. The forest around it is held in cold grey-green.

Photographed in the forest and printed with the colour drawn almost out of it, so that only the rust keeps its warmth against the grey-green trees. Lone Gjessing is a Danish photographer and artist who also works with jewellery making and crafts. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
