GTO 3 - Kareem Rizk

A photograph of a vintage Pontiac GTO is cut out and set on a pale sage ground marked with a faint grid. Above it float an orange diamond, torn bands of coral, red and teal, and a large red numeral 3. Scraps of old print and the edge of every layer are left showing.

Built as a collage of torn and cut paper, old print and painted shapes, layered so that every edge and worn surface stays visible. Kareem Rizk is an Australian collage and mixed media artist who lives and works in Denmark, building densely layered works from re-purposed printed ephemera, with a background in graphic design and a long-standing affinity for typography. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
