Surreal Burning Table - Natascha Baumgärtner

Against a hot pink wall, a pair of bare legs in cream socks and brown shoes stands on a cluttered table, while flames leap from the top of a dark red chair behind. A small fire burns among the dishes, a knife drips red beside a plate of toast and jam, and a pomegranate, a bowl of blueberries, a bottle, glasses and crumpled sweet wrappers complete this surreal, unsettling breakfast scene.

Created by Berlin-based digital illustrator Natascha Baumgärtner, whose expressive, painterly scenes turn the leftovers of everyday life into vivid, slightly surreal moments. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
