Torn between lovers - Will Black

A woman's head and bare shoulders fill the right of the canvas, her skin warm brown, her lips red and her hair blue grey. Behind her a hillside of brown and white blocks steps down past green and red trees, blue handprints and a dark bird, while a red dog crosses a pale panel at the foot.

Painted in oils in short loaded strokes, the face modelled wet while the landscape behind stays blocky and flat. Will Black paints in oils from Norwich and studied landscape architecture, human ecology and fine art at Central Saint Martins in London. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
