When the Light Grows Quiet - Sabine Halbrock

A pale luminous sky lies along the top of the canvas, and below it the land runs in ochre, gold and warm brown, broken by a low dark horizon. Rough brown forms sit at the right edge and the lower left, and fine scratched lines travel across the surface.

Built in acrylic over a textured ground, with the paint scraped back in places so the layers beneath come through. Sabine Halbrock works in her studio in Hamburg with acrylic paint and textured materials on canvas. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
